Whitsunday Development Manual Standard Drawings
The Whitsunday Regional Council Planning Scheme Development Manual (the Manual) originally took effect on the 30 June 2017. The most recent update specific to the Development Manual was the Development Manual Amendment (Planning Scheme V3.9) which took effect 20 January 2023.
The Major Amendment to the Whitsunday Planning Scheme commenced 3 October 2023, creating Version 4.7 of the Planning Scheme. This amendment superseded Version 3.9 of the Planning Scheme(PDF, 13MB) (Planning Scheme Policy - Development Manual Amendment) however did not make any changes to the contents of the manual from Version 3.9.
The Manual was prepared to detail the minimum acceptable engineering standards for infrastructure including water, sewerage, open space, drainage and road network standards.
Standard drawings to support the Development Manual commenced 21 December 2018.
The standard drawings are provided for guidance when designing and preparing to undertake works in the Whitsunday Region. The standard drawing amendments are intended to allow broader utilisation of industry standard drawings issued by the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) and the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR).
The Asset Design As Constructed (ADAC) Guidelines provide assistance with respect to the survey, creation and provision of compliant ADAC XML files to accompany the usual bundle of “As-Constructed” (As-Built) plans, drawings, schedules and associated information reflecting all details of new civil infrastructure and associated assets.
