Mayor's Charity Ball

The 2024 Mayor's Charity Ball was held on Saturday 21 September at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre. 

The Proserpine Entertainment Centre looked absolutely stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of glamour, entertainment and giving.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our attendees, we raised $66,000 for BMA CQ Rescue and the Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network – two incredible causes making a real difference in our community.

BMA CQ Rescue is a community funded service that has been providing a critical, lifesaving service to visitors and residents across the Whitsunday Region for over 27 years. They deliver world class responses to emergencies, ensuring that your loved ones are quickly and safely taken to medical facilities necessary to make a full recovery.

The Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network (WSPN) works tirelessly to provide support, education and intervention to prevent suicide and offer hope to those struggling with mental health issues. The Whitsundays face serious mental health challenges, including high rates of suicide and substance abuse. WSPN delivers essential early intervention and support, raises awareness, reduces stigma and connects individuals with help through local and national partnerships.
