Why We’re Supporting BMA CQ Rescue & the Whitsunday and Bowen Neighbourhood Centres

This year, the Mayor’s Charity Ball supported three important local organisations: BMA CQ Rescue and the Whitsunday and Bowen Neighbourhood Centres.

The Neighbourhood Centres provide vital help to people doing it tough - offering food relief, counselling, financial support, family programs and social connection activities. They are a lifeline for many in our region.

BMA CQ Rescue provides 24/7 emergency helicopter rescue services, ensuring people in remote or critical situations get the urgent care they need. As a community-funded service, they rely on local support to continue saving lives.

By supporting these organisations, we are investing in the wellbeing, safety and resilience of our community. Every dollar raised will help these services continue their important work - right here in the Whitsundays.
