Whitsunday Coast Airport

Bowen Aerodrome

Situated just west of the Bowen Township, the Bowen Aerodrome supports agriculture, Royal Flying Doctors and general aviation activities. With two operational runways, one asphalt runway and one cross strip gravel runway, it assists with all-weather landing availability.  The aerodrome is secured with a wildlife proof fence. The Aerodrome has a 24/7 avgas re-fuelling facility to assist with the local aircraft operators, as well as those passing through.

Collinsville Aerodrome

Collinsville Aerodrome is located 6km south of the Collinsville main centre. The aerodrome is available for Royal Flying Doctor Service, evacuations, general aviation and mining charters to support operations within the region. There is an asphalt runway approximately 1400m long. The aerodrome is secured with a wildlife proof fence.

Mount Coolon Airstrip

The Mount Coolon Airstrip is located just west of the township. The grass strip allows for operations from general aviation pilots, Royal Flying doctors and local cattle station access.
