With a jampacked festival itinerary, live entertainment every night and a host of vibrant community events, Cruise Whitsundays Great Barrier Reef Festival is a highlight of the annual event calendar and cornerstone of local culture. Inspired by the reef, the festival promotes environmental awareness and celebrates our unique Whitsunday coastal lifestyle. Be amazed by the underwater marine wonderland at Fairy Tree Park - a combination of sculptured reef creatures and corals made from recycled materials, lit up nightly to bring the display to life! The fun-filled program of events includes the Coral Sea Marina Lantern Parade, massive reef-themed street parade, main street car show, Recyclable Regatta and free family fun activities on Airlie Foreshore. The not-to-be-missed Fireworks on the Foreshore will ignite the skies over the Coral Sea Friday August 1 complete with night markets, food stalls, carnival rides and street performers and the Beach Music stage pumping out live entertainment throughout the weekend.
