The Reconciliation Week Markets will create the presence of Traditional customs ceremonies such as a Welcome to Country by Juru Traditional Elder, Smoking ceremony and Welcome dance. In response we also have another Traditional dance group to respond and to acknowledge the welcome as visitors to Bowen to showcase ancient practices of our Ancestors would have done for thousands of years. In doing this the public will experience these practices and also be engaged to be able wonder be immersed amongst culture by the market stalls. The stalls will house traditional art and storytellers of own works as well as other non-indigenous stall holders as well to give that reconciliation and working together vibe to display. We will also have invite local entertainers, food vendors and display a decorative Artie look to light up the trees in the designated area of the park and will take care of country and not damage the flora, for the public to be captured by the theme of our Traditional Cultural Activity.
