The Tassal Group Airlie Beach Marathon Festival gives competitors the opportunity to run 42.2km, 21.2km, 10km, 5km, 2km ,1km or 1 mile and caters for all ages from 4 - 100 years old.

2024 will be the eleventh running of this event with an anticipated attendance of 500 runners. The festival traditionally supports Ronald McDonald's House and a local winning school with donations raised from the entry fees. It attracts a number of visitors to the region as runners come from all parts of Australia and overseas.
