The North Queensland Cross Country is open to all ages and caters for a variety of distances. It is run on an open grass paddock through the southern side of Galbraith Park in Cannon Valley with a water trap and a number of different surfaces and hills. It will attract approximately 250 runners from all over Queensland with the majority of them being of school age. This is the second year of the event and it is well supported by Athletics North Queensland as the only cross country event in north Queensland.
