Flagstaff Hill Bowen

Bowen's premier lookout, providing breathtaking 360 degree views of the Whitsunday Islands, Coral Sea and Bowen Hinterland.

Only a short drive from the main business centre of Bowen and with sealed carparking, this popular tourism venue is a drawcard for residents and visitors all year-round. The venue can cater for up to 120 guests in the conference centre and also contains a cafe.

Council is actively working towards securing new operators, but this will take time to ensure a thorough Expressions of Interest (EOI) process is undertaken including an open day for interested operators to inspect the facility.

We are committed to ensuring the venue remains accessible for suitable events and functions and Council officers will be facilitating venue hire bookings for both sides of the facility for the interim.

The facility will be available to host a wide range of events including, Christmas parties, workshops, and other special occasions. However, to make these events successful, the event holder will need to arrange external caterers and required liquor licenses, but Council can assist to facilitate.
