Free RV Parks
We have two free RV parks available within the region.
The Proserpine RV Park is located at 126 Main Street, Proserpine. The park operates seasonally from 1 April to 30 November each year and is closed outside of this period. Stays are strictly limited to a maximum of 48 hours. Entry is free; however, all visitors must check in upon arrival.
The Collinsville RV Park, located at Railway Road, Collinsville (southern end of the Collinsville Showgrounds, opposite the Workers Club), operates every day, all year and does not require bookings. The maximum stay is 72 hours.
Spaces at both parks are limited. Terms and conditions apply to each park and differ by location, so visitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the conditions specific to the park they are staying at.

Where is the RV Park located?

Who does the RV Park cater for?
The park is for fully self-contained vehicles only. Vehicles must meet the following requirements to stay at the site:
- Fully self-contained vehicles are fitted with an on-board toilet, shower and sink
- Facilities must be built into the vehicle and plumbed in; portable or separate items do not qualify
- Vehicles that do not meet these standards cannot stay at this park
- Any person found in breach of these conditions may be directed to leave immediately
How long can I stay?
This site is strictly a rest stop:
- Maximum stay: 48 hours
- No return visits within 48 hours
- Council reserves the right to close the Proserpine RV Park at any time.
Facilities
Water is available on site, along with a dump point. No showers, toilets, power or other amenities are provided.
Check-In
Entry to the Proserpine RV Park is free and all visitors must check in upon arrival. A QR code is available on arrival at the site.
- No camper is considered “checked in” until online registration is complete.
- If you are unable to register online, you must contact Council on 1300 972 753 (24-hour service) to complete registration over the phone.

Collinsville Rv Park
Where is the RV Park located?
Railway Road Collinsville at the southern end of the Collinsville Showgrounds, opposite the Workers Club.
Who does the RV Park cater for?
The rest area caters for Caravans, RV's, Campervans, Trailers and Tents (tent area inside ring only).
How long can I stay?
72-hours.
Is there fresh water and toilet facilities?
Fresh water is readily available on site and there are standard and disabled toilets and showers 24/7 in the park.
