The amendment applies to the Low Density Residential Zone across the entire local government area and introduces strengthened assessment benchmarks to clarify that Short-term Accommodation is generally not supported in this zone, except within ten identified precincts that have an established history of holiday home use. The amendment was prepared in accordance with the Planning Act 2016, being adopted by Council on 18 March 2026 and follows a public consultation process undertaken in 2025.
