Create Your Own Terrarium!
Join us these school holidays for a free children's hands-on activity where kids can create their very own mini terrarium to take home. Using rocks, charcoal, soil, and small plants, participants will build a tiny living ecosystem inside a glass jar while exploring the fascinating world of nature.
Led by Dr Sarah Pye, children will learn how a closed tropical ecosystem works and discover how plants, water, and air work together to create a self-sustaining environment. Don't forget to bring your own glass jar to use for your terrarium.
This fun and educational activity encourages creativity, curiosity, and a love of science and nature. Suitable for ages 7+
Limited places available. Bookings are essential. Please contact your local library on 4967 6447 to reserve your place.
Children aged 8 years and under must be directly supervised by a parent/carer at all times. Children aged 9-12 years must have a parent/carer in the building at all times.
