Get wild this September school holidays at Whitsunday Libraries!

School holidays are the perfect excuse to get out of the house, try something new and let the kids get a little creative.

And these holidays, Whitsunday Regional Libraries has plenty of fun in store! Our school holiday program is all about getting curious, making things, getting hands-on and discovering something new, with a very special guest leading the way.

Get wild with Dr Sarah Pye

If your kids love animals, nature and all things a little bit weird and wonderful, you won't want to miss our sessions with Dr Sarah Pye.

Sarah is a author, educator and passionate advocate for Australia's incredible wildlife, and she's bringing her love of animals to the library these school holidays.

From creating your very own rainforest in a jar, to discovering the coolest animals you never knew existed, Sarah's sessions are designed to get kids looking a little closer at the natural world around them.

And if you've ever wondered “What sort of animal am I?”, Sarah has a session for that too!

But the wildlife fun doesn't stop when Sarah leaves the room. Kids can continue exploring, creating and getting curious with a range of wildlife-inspired activities throughout the holidays.

There’s plenty more to discover too, with creative, building and self-led activities giving kids and teens plenty of opportunities to make, experiment and have fun at the library these school holidays.
