Grants of up to $25,000 are now available for community groups through the Community RoadSafety Grants program.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said the program encourages community involvement in local road safetyprojects, and supports the development and delivery of effective road safety projects that address local road safety issues.
“This program also provides an opportunity to receive funding towards road crash injuryrehabilitation programs,” she said.
“The Community Road Safety Grant is another way for our community to actively join the drive to save lives.”
Community groups are encouraged to apply, with applications closing for Round 3 on Friday 22August. A fourth round of grants will open on 29 October 2014 and close on 13 February 2015.Please ensure that you refer to the current guidelines and complete the appropriate applicationform.
