On 12 June 2019 Council adopted the Façade Improvement Policy. This Policy came about as a result of the Proserpine Sustainability and Future Growth Master Plan.
What is the Façade Improvement Policy?
The purpose of the policy is to incentivise property and/or business owners in the Main Street of Proserpine, the Business Centre of Bowen and Stanley Street in Collinsville to improve their shopfronts.
Where does the Façade Improvement Policy apply?
a) The Main Street of Proserpine;
b) The Major Centre Zone in Bowen, being shops in Herbert Street, Powell Street, Williams Street George Street, Dalrymple Street and Gregory Streets; and
c) Stanley Street in Collinsville.

Council’s contribution to each grant will be to up to 50% of the eligible works and will be capped depending on the following factors:

Shops from 1 Main Street to 140 Main Street Proserpine, the Major Centre Zone in Bowen, being shops in Herbert Street, Powell Street, Williams Street George Street, Dalrymple Street and Gregory Streets, and commercial premises in Stanley Street in Collinsville.
