Whitsunday Regional Council aims to ensure that expenditure of public funds results in the most advantageous outcome for the community. Potential suppliers are supported and informed of Council's supply needs. Council will engage with suppliers to ensure our procurement practices are fair and equitable as well as ensure there is sufficient governance to ensure probity and due diligence in the way we purchase goods and services.
Council encourages local industry to tender/quote for the provision of Council's requirements. Council has partnered with Local Buy to implement e-procurement methods. Council will advertises tenders in the local newspapers, however all potential and current suppliers are encouraged to register with Local Buy TenderBox to ensure you receive our requests for quotes and tenders – see
